The Olho de Mutum is a very RARE variety belonging to the Capsicum chinense species. Typically Brazilian, it is cultivated in the Amazon and Roraima regions, highly valued for its beauty and unique flavor.
Highly decorative, the small fruits start with an intense purple, almost black hue. As they ripen, they transition to a peach or salmon tone, creating a smoky (blush) visual effect. This color transition and its small size inspire its popular name.
This pepper has a strong heat level, around 150,000 Scoville Units (SHU). Its flavor profile is its standout feature: extremely aromatic and sweet, reminiscent of the fruity complexity of the Pimenta Bode.
Excellent for adding an aromatic touch to sauces, enriching preserves and jams with fruity flavor, and as a condiment for meat, poultry, and fish dishes.
Olho de Mutum - SHU 150,000. Pack of 10 selected seeds, with identification sticker of species, origin and heat.
