Bhut Jolokia, also known as Naga Jolokia, Ghost Chili, Ghost Pepper and Naga Morich, is a pepper of Indian origin considered by Guinness World Records to be the third strongest pepper in the world, with 1,304,000 SHU.

The substance stimulates the heat and pain receptors present throughout the tongue.

The brain interprets this burning as if the tongue had been burned.
