The 7 Pot Primo (Capsicum chinense) is a modern super-hot hybrid created in 2005 by horticulturist Troy Primeaux ("Primo") in Louisiana. A cross between a Naga Morich and a Trinidad 7 Pot, it is famous for its distorted shape and its long, thin "scorpion tail". It is considered one of the most stable and visually terrifying peppers in the super-hot world.
Strictly Nuclear, the 7 Pot Primo rivals the Carolina Reaper. It averages 1,473,480 Scoville Units (SHU), with peaks that push it to the top of the heat scale. Like other "7 Pots", the legend says one single pepper is enough to heat seven pots of stew. Handling Warning: Extreme caution, gloves, and eye protection are mandatory.
The fruits have a "bumpy" skin and ripen to a vibrant red. The flavor is surprisingly complex, offering an initial fruity and floral sweetness before a brutal wave of heat takes over the tongue. Perfect for extreme hot sauces, super-hot chili, and nuclear powders.
